Data collection and uses

GPS location

The app requests access to the GPS function in order to add GPS location data to your sightings and bird lists. Recording your GPS location is only enabled while you are using the app and the data is only recorded to your device. Your GPS data is not transmitted, recorded or stored by us or shared in any way.

Google Drive Access

Your account details are requested by Google for accessing Google Drive to backup your bird lists. Access is limited by Google to the specified app folder only and no other folders, files or information are accessed or downloaded from Google Drive.

User Registration

The app may request registration of your name and gmail to access data and functions in the app. The information is securely transmitted and stored on our Google Firebase server and not used for any other purpose or shared with any other person or organisation. If you are no longer using the app you may request deletion of this data directly by opening link https://gibbonmm.com/Enquiry.aspx. or by contacting support@gibbonmm.com.

App Statistics and Crash Reports

The app may collect statistics on usage and crash reports, but none of this information will be identifiable to you personally.

We may need to change this policy from time to time in order to address new issues and reflect changes in our apps. We will post those changes here so that you will always know what information we gather, and how we might use that information.
